We invite you to Knowledge Valorisation Day, an event dedicated to transforming research and innovation into real-world impact. Organized in collaboration with the European Commission, this event will bring together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to share best practices in knowledge transfer, commercialization, and fostering innovation-driven development. Through engaging keynote speeches, thought-provoking panel discussions, and valuable networking opportunities, participants will gain fresh insights into building stronger connections between academia and industry.

A highlight of the event will be a high-level policy debate on how to turn research into sustainable solutions that benefit both the economy and society. Esteemed speakers—including representatives from the European Commission, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy of Poland, the Foundation for Polish Science, and the National Centre for Research and Development—will discuss strategies for strengthening the innovation ecosystem. The debate will be moderated by Professor Jerzy Buzek, former Prime Minister of Poland, ensuring a dynamic and insightful conversation on bridging the gap between research and industry while making the most of funding opportunities.

Following this, a plenary session will showcase key funding and support measures for knowledge valorisation in Poland. Experts from the Foundation for Polish Science and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education will introduce major initiatives like PRIME and Science4Business (Nauka dla Biznesu), while specialists from META Group and the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences will present Horizon Europe programs, including Booster and widerAdvance Facility.

In the afternoon, participants can take part in parallel sessions tailored to different aspects of knowledge valorisation. One session will focus on developing skills and capacities, covering intellectual asset management, services offered by the EU IP Helpdesk, and the role of the Polish Patent Office. Another session will dive into industry-academia collaboration, offering insights on co-creation, ecosystem development, and tools for fostering innovation.

Additionally, the event will feature real-world case studies from 4EU+ Alliance universities, showcasing successful IP strategies and industry-academia partnerships that have led to tangible results. The day will wrap up with a summary of key takeaways, followed by a networking cocktail, providing a setting to connect with fellow innovators, researchers, and decision-makers.
